Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule

The Faculty Dashboard in Workday includes the option of "View My Teaching Schedule" which lets faculty discover their exam schedules. For evening classes exams, they are scheduled at the regular class time during the final week of the exam.

Registration
The exam schedule is accessible on the internet, and students are encouraged to review it. It is important to remember that the schedule for exams can be altered at any time. For this reason, students should consult with their instructors to make sure they have the correct date and time for their exam. Students should also print the official list to bring to their exam.
Students should also be familiar with the rules and conditions of the exam, in addition to the exam schedule. These are on the website for each exam. Students acknowledge having read and agreed to the conditions and terms of registration.
Exam locations make every effort to accommodate those who have special needs. The nature and degree of these needs must be declared on the registration form, and then confirmed by an attestation from a doctor. The locations of the exam must respect and maintain confidentiality.
If a student is scheduled to take three examinations scheduled for the same day, it is suggested to contact their department or instructor to arrange a make-up exam. While it is possible to take three tests in one day, this can cause an increase in stress levels and affect the quality of the exam. Additionally, the professor might not be able to give a makeup exam on another day.
Before taking the test Students must prepare for the exam by studying the syllabus and practicing their German skills. The exam is a paper-based test that tests the ability to read, speak and write in German. The results of the exam are presented on a scale from A1 to C2. Students who pass the exam receive an Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate certifies that the student has attained language level A1. This level corresponds with the first level of the six-level scale of competency laid out in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The test is free. Students are required to bring an official government ID to the test. Students who do not have a valid picture ID will be disqualified.
Fees
You will have to pay a fee for the examination for the opportunity to receive the Goethe-Zertifikat (start German 1) after you have completed your Elan Academy studies. This fee is in addition the course fee.
Practice assessments give you an overview of the style of the questions, their wording and the difficulty of the questions on the test. They can help you evaluate your understanding, find gaps and increase your chances of passing the exam.
